The hotel is centrally located on the corner of Yliopistonkatu and Kluuvikatu Streets, with the entrance on the Kluuvikatu side. It is also very close to the Ateneum Museum and Senate's Square (Senaatintori).

The Sokos Hotel is housed in a modern building, which blends in well with most of the surrounding architecture. Though fairly compact, the lobby is brightly decorated in blue and cream tones, with some comfortable blue-upholstered sofas to relax on. The 202 medium sized guestrooms feature warm beige colour schemes and modern minimalist furniture. They are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathroom. The hotel’s three restaurants - "Fransmanni", "Memphis" and "Helsinki Club" - serve a mixture of international cuisine and Finnish specialities.
